The Forgotten Field Novel MTL

Synopsis
Every day, my prayer is the same: for this love to finally wither away. I wish to love you only until the sun sets today, so that by tomorrow, this affection will completely vanish.

Thalia Roem Ghirta is a tragic imperial princess, born out of wedlock and raised within the cold walls of a palace that rejects her existence. Surrounded by apathetic parents, resentful half-siblings, and dismissive servants, the severe neglect twisted her growth. To survive, she learned to shield herself with sharp thorns, striking out at anyone who dared to approach. Yet, there is one person who can effortlessly strip away all her defenses.

Varkas Raedgo Siarkan, a prominent lord from the East, is a loyal vassal to the crown and the heir to a grand ducal house. Molded by brutal, borderline abusive training to meet the crushing weight of perfection, his emotions have been entirely dulled. He exists solely to uphold his family's honor and duty. Bound by a promise made to the former empress, Varkas becomes engaged to Thalia’s half-sister, Ayla.

Driven to despair by this engagement, Thalia begins a slow, painful unraveling. However, her love—which she believed was destined only to wither and die—is about to face an unexpected twist of fate.
