TOTCF 2 (Novel) Chapter 398

## Chapter 398. Do You Dare to Hit Me in the Back of the Head? (1~)

“…….”
“…….”

Cale stared intently at the small dragon in his arms.
The little dragon looked away from Cale.

“Should I put you down?”
(The small dragon nodded.)
Seeing the tiny being nod, Cale carefully placed it on the sofa.

Flap, flap!

Raon watched the scene with his eyes shining brightly.

“Ji ji!”

“Ji ji!”

Next to him, the red cat Hong laughed endlessly, his eyes sparkling, though the little dragon completely ignored their gazes.

“Waaaah---!”
“Light Dragon! Light Dragon! Light Dragon!”

From the window, tens of thousands of Seventh Evil inhabitants, who had not yet left, continued to erupt in cheers.
Cale stared blankly.

[Progress of the birth ceremony: 319%]

The birth ceremony was over. But—

“Ah, here they were. Hu hu.”

However, the aftermath of the event had not yet ceased.

“The video of the birth ceremony is spreading throughout New World. Also, it is being uploaded to various user communities.”

Clopeh Sekka… he is a true enthusiast of legends.

“Legend is not simply giving meaning to a phenomenon. It is when that phenomenon transforms into history, is passed down from mouth to mouth, and endures for generations. Only then does it become legend.”

[*The aftermath of the birth ceremony is expanding rapidly!*]

[*The legend is being forged, not only in New World, but also in the Third World!*]

[*The determination of the reward category has been postponed!*]

For some reason, Cale stared fixedly at the mission window —as if the system was intervening— and then looked at Clopeh.

Clopeh leaned down and, in a kind voice, addressed the little baby dragon, Eden Miru, who had just been born today.

“Congratulations on your birth!”

Eden Miru, with determination, did not give Clopeh Sekka a single glance.

However, Clopeh Sekka was not fazed by such a trivial gesture and, with great joy, said:

“Sacred Evil, Light Dragon. You have been given a rather good name.”

The baby dragon, over 900 years old, narrowed his eyes.

“Eden Miru, your future will be a path of legend.”

“…….”

Eden Miru simply stared blankly, though it seemed his pupils were vibrating in an unsettling way.

“¡Eden Miru!”

Raon immediately lunged forward and exclaimed:

“Let’s go!”

and firmly grasped Eden Miru’s small, chubby front leg.

“!”

Eden Miru was visibly disconcerted, and Raon also seemed a little surprised.

“So small!”

Eden Miru is too small.

Raon felt a strange and inexplicable emotion.

Although he knew that, in reality, Eden Miru was over 900 years old (almost a thousand), he possessed black scales similar to his own, with platinum-toned patterns reminiscent of the Ancient Dragon Eruhaben, and eyes the color of humans, complemented by a gaze that, curiously, resembled that of his mother, Sheritt.

“Ji!”

Raon simply laughed.

Although he was a great dragon, the young Raon, with his young age, could not fully express that emotion.

“Stay firmly attached to my back, Eden Miru!”

Raon lifted Eden Miru onto his back; he was so small that it was clearly noticeable.

“!”

Although Eden Miru seemed extremely disconcerted, Raon did not notice; however, the feeling of that slight weight and the warmth on his back instilled a strange strength in him.

With that inexplicable feeling, Raon squeezed his two front legs tightly and thought:

“I will take care of Eden Miru too!”

Determination was reflected solemnly on Raon’s lips.

“Ah.”

Cale, with an astonished face, watched the whole scene and let out a short laugh.

“Clopeh.”

“Yes, Cale-nim.”

“Good job.”

Of course, Cale gave Clopeh a few words of recognition for the effort, but as he followed the children, he couldn’t see Clopeh who had fallen behind.

“……!”

The smile faded from Clopeh’s face; he stared at the ceiling for a moment.

“…Good job, huh…”

They were comforting words. But—

“All this is for a greater purpose.”

Clopeh turned out to be even more imposing than Cale imagined.
‘Eden Miru.’
The Boss of the Seventh Evil.
He, ultimately, belongs to Cale’s entourage.
Whether it’s the Miru Knights Order, the Third Evil, or the Eight Evils, everything will be under Cale’s authority.
The legend they build will ultimately be the foundation for the even greater legend Cale will forge.

“Hu hu.”

Although the words “well done” would suffice if spoken at the end, Clopeh, thinking that Cale was truly modest, slowly walked towards the window.

“Light Dragon! Light Dragon!”

There were still Seventh Evil inhabitants cheering.
“…In the end, his name is already decided.”

Cale-nim, the Hero of the Shield.

That great name will resonate again throughout New World, in the Third World, across all dimensions.

“Cr-cr-cr.”

In the solitary room, Clopeh could barely contain his laughter as his eyes lit up.

* * *

“Hmm?”

And Cale, who was following the children with an average age of 10, felt strangely uneasy.

Why is that?

‘Ah.’

Then, suddenly, an idea came to his mind.

‘Hmm.’

The children with an average age of 10, who were laughing as they walked, with Eden Miru clinging to Raon’s back…

Should I even consider him?

‘Ah, that’s something…’

Are you going to consider someone over 900 years old as the youngest?

‘…….’

Cale’s expression involuntarily hardened, because, so to speak, Eden Miru’s appearance was truly tender.

“How cute!”

“Our boss, he’s so adorable! And, despite everything, he shows such majesty!”

Now that I think about it, voices could also be heard outside saying how adorable he was.

Cale tried to ignore it.

‘It’s not my problem.’

Well, it’s something Eden Miru will have to solve on his own, right?

Cale decided to pay no more attention to it.

“We’ve arrived!”

Instead, he turned his gaze to the reunion between Eden Miru and Sheritt.

“…….”

“…….”

Both were silent.

Cale noticed that the corners of Sheritt’s eyes were red, indicating that she had cried alone, but he ignored it.

“…….”

Eden Miru, after a long silence, finally opened his mouth.

Although he opened it several times, he couldn’t say anything.
Sheritt waited for him with a serene smile.

Sss…

Eden Miru descended from Raon’s back.

Flap, flap!

And, being a newborn, he made some clumsy wing movements.

“…….”

He stopped in front of Sheritt.

A portal.

Between both dragons, neither could get closer:

Eden Miru was already a being unable to cross the portal, and the same was true for Sheritt.

“…….”

Eden Miru raised his head and looked at Sheritt.   Unlike her playful appearance, the smile on Sheritt’s face was as peaceful as someone her age.

“…Eh—”

After a long moment, Eden Miru, finally, said:

“I’ve returned.”

Sheritt replied:

“Well, you’ve returned.”

Cale, sensing the presence, turned his head.

“Cale-nim.”

It was Choi Han.

Normally, Cale, the Heavenly Demon, and Clopeh should have been using their energy according to the plan, but he had an unforeseen circumstance that prevented him from doing so.

“Have they contacted from the Kingdom of Lan?”

“Yes.”

Sohyi, the Wanderer, —whom Choi Han and the Heavenly Demon had been tasked with interrogating— had been detained in the underground dungeon of the Lan Kingdom palace.
Unlike the Heavenly Demon, who returned to the Black Castle for Eden Miru’s birth ceremony, Choi Han, after arriving here, received unexpected communication from the Kingdom of Lan and had to leave again for there.

“It seems that Cale-nim must go.”

And Choi Han returned to take Cale with him.

The Demon Kingdom.

The sanctuary of the God of Chaos, “The Primordial Night”.

Cale must now head there.

Choi Han, knowing that Choi Jung Gun’s life was at stake with this plan, would not delay his departure to the Demon Kingdom unless imperative.

“…I have to go.”

However, Choi Han insisted that Cale should go to the Kingdom of Lan.

And there was only one reason for it.

“Has another Wanderer appeared?”

Choi Han lowered his head slowly.

“Yes.”

Cale immediately replied:

“If it’s another Wanderer, I suppose it’s the one who used to threaten the
King of Lan, right?”

“Yes, they said he would come tomorrow.”

The King of Lan, Tamahi, did not know Wanderer Sohyi;
but the one who had threatened her was another Wanderer, along with the envoy of the God of Chaos, Hinpa Gong, who had pressured the king.

“Of course, it would be strange if no Wanderer appeared in the Kingdom of Lan.”

The Kingdom of Lan, in accordance with the will of Cale and the Dark Kingdom, was modifying its policies throughout the kingdom.

“Sohyi, Hinpa Gong. We also have to verify both matters.”

“Yes, that’s why the king is looking for Cale-nim.”

“I must go.”

Tomorrow, the Wanderer will come to meet with the King of Lan, Tamahi.

Before that, Cale had to move quickly.

“Soheyi surely told the other Wanderers that what happened was the fault of the ‘God of Chaos’.”

“Yes.”

The Bimum Stadium.

There, Cale let Sohyi contact her companions, as at that time she thought Cale was part of the “God of Chaos” group.

“And also, communication with Hinpa Gong has been interrupted.”

“That’s right.”

Hinpa Gong is dead.

But the Five Color Family Wanderer hunters won’t know, as his death was completely concealed.
Therefore, they will have investigated the God of Chaos for answers to all of this.
‘Contacting the God of Chaos sect directly is for beginners.’
First, we must go to the Kingdom of Lan and examine the details of the matter.
Therefore, there was something we had to do first.

“I must hide Sohyi.”
“Yes, that is correct. That’s why the king is looking for Mr. Cale.”

Sohyi, the Wanderer, who is imprisoned in the underground dungeon of the Lan Kingdom palace, must be moved to another location.
“The King of Lan assures that he cannot prevent the Wanderers from snooping around the palace; in the end, they will surely check the underground dungeon too.”

“Probably, if the Kingdom of Lan has allied with the God of Chaos, from a Wanderer’s perspective, the only place to lock up Sohyi would be that.”
The place to lock up a low-level NPC was already obvious.

“Therefore, the king seemed to not know what to do.”

“Exactly.”

Cale pondered for a moment. Then, a smile crept onto his lips.

“First, we must go see the king.”

Cale and Choi Han stopped at that place.

Uuuum.

There, Rozalin had prepared a teleportation magic circle that radiated light.

¡Paaah!

Immediately, Choi Han and Cale headed towards the Lan Kingdom palace, accompanied by light.

* * *

“Your Majesty.”

“He has arrived, Your Majesty!”

The King of Lan, Tamahi, greeted Cale with an anxious expression.
“The Wanderer was supposed to arrive today, but we managed to postpone it until tomorrow.”

She informed Cale that there was only half a day left and they couldn’t keep delaying the matter.

Next to the king was also Cha‐run.

“Your Majesty, please calm down.”

Cale smiled.

“The first thing is to relocate Sohyi, right?”

“Exactly.”

“Also, I suppose Your Majesty is also concerned about how to deal with the Wanderers.”

“Exactly!”

In fact, what worries the King of Lan most is how to handle the Wanderers, as they will have realized that the Kingdom of Lan has taken a different path.

In such a situation, the King of Lan, Tamahi, had to protect the Kingdom of Lan from the Wanderers.

“I will give you both answers.”

“…Really?”

And, no matter how much anxiety it might cause, Cale already had the
solution. Seeing Cale’s smile, King Tamahi waited for the answer with a trembling heart.

Then, Cale spoke softly to Tamahi and Cha-run:

“Sohyi must be moved to another underground dungeon.”

“…Another…?”

When Cha‐run looked bewildered, Tamahi’s gaze shone with a special hue.

“Perhaps to the underground dungeon of another kingdom?”

“As always, you are very insightful.”

At Cale’s response, the king began to speak:

“…Isn’t it that there are other kingdoms with whom we have a relationship? Or is it from the Dark Kingdom…?”

“No, it’s not a kingdom.”

“Then, what kind of prison…?”

Cale shook his head. While Cha‐run questioned again, Tamahi quickly found the answer:

“…Is it from the empire?”

“!”

Cha‐run was speechless.

The Dark Kingdom.

Does that place also have a connection with the empire?!

“If it’s the underground dungeon of the Eastern Empire palace, it will be even more impenetrable than here.”

When Cale, calmly, mentioned the prison to which Sohyi should be moved, Tamahi and Cha‐run couldn’t help but exclaim in amazement.

“How, that it has a relationship with the Eastern Empire… Ah, no!”
Cha‐run, unintentionally, uttered the word and quickly fell silent; Cale just smiled at that, because silence is often very eloquent.

‘Ahn Roh Man.’

President Ahn Roh Man, the number one in the ranking, who is currently the crown prince of the Eastern Empire, Reenti, and will soon celebrate his ascension ceremony.

‘The emperor of the Eastern Empire is an ally of Ahn Roh Man.’

Cale had already contacted Ahn Roh Man, and of course, he would collaborate with Cale.

It would be ideal, taking advantage of the opportunity to lock Sohyi in the Eastern Empire’s underground dungeon, to be able to establish contact with the imperial AI.

“And when the Wanderer shows up, act as follows.”

Cale also offered advice on the image that the Kingdom of Lan should show to the Wanderers.

“Kneel completely.”

“Kneel, you say?”

Cale continued, explaining to King Tamahi, who looked incredulous:

“Say that, forced by threats, you had no choice but to betray the Wanderers.”

The Dark Kingdom must not be revealed.

It would be a problem if it were discovered that Cale’s group operates within New World.

“And all that…”

The invincible shield.

“Say that you were pressured by the side of the God of Chaos and, therefore, you had no choice.”

“!”

The eyes of Choi Han, Cha‐run, and Tamahi shone with a special hue.

“And also, say that Wanderer Sohyi was moved by Hinpa Gong to ‘The Primordial Night’, the sanctuary of the God of Chaos.”

“Ah.”

Choi Han let out a sigh of astonishment.

The Primordial Night.

That is the sanctuary of the God of Chaos.

It was a place that Cale had to go to shake up, because the Sacred Object had to be stolen and there were a thousand things to do.

However, since it is the sanctuary of the God of Chaos, its security would be imposing, and Cale’s group would probably have to shed a lot of blood in the fight.

‘But tell the Wanderers about The Primordial Night?’

If it’s Wanderers from the Five Color Family, they would know the location of the sanctuary.

Perhaps they, instead of us, will go to the sanctuary and fight the battle.

If that happens—

“We could steal everything without shedding a drop of blood, and attack everyone from the back!”

Choi Han couldn’t hide his astonishment and looked at Cale.

The king also nodded at the proposal to blame the God of Chaos.

“That’s the most realistic solution. The Wanderers will accept it.”

“That’s right, Your Majesty.”

Cale smiled softly, and the king reciprocated with a smile.

Her face looked visibly calmer and, with encouragement, she said:

“Immediately, we must generate clues that make the Wanderers suspect Hinpa Gong and the God of Chaos.”

“Yes.”

“We will make them believe that the time I gained was used to erase any trace of worship of the God of Chaos.”

“Very well. Truly, you are very sagacious.”

Jaja! Jaja!

Cale and Tamahi also laughed.

* * *

“Long time no see!”

Cale greeted with a cordial wave of his hand.

“Sohyi, does your face look better?”

Hearing the greeting, Wanderer Sohyi’s expression turned pale.

It was after midnight.

The guards of the Lan Kingdom palace’s underground dungeon had vanished, and only Choi Han and Cale were watching the only detainee, Sohyi.

From the Eastern Empire, Reenti.

It was time to leave for there.

<It has been said.>

It was after receiving communication from Ahn Roh Man.
