"Gah!"
Derus curled up, letting out a scream he hadn't uttered even when the Six Kings had torn his limbs apart.
"H-how did you break the Ethereal Transformation...?"
His lips trembled as he looked at the divine sword piercing his back, having broken the Ethereal Transformation.
"Ugh..."
Even Archangel Uriel, who seemed like he wouldn't blink if his head were cut off, let out a low groan. His eyes were bloodshot as he looked at the demonic sword protruding from his chest, unable to believe that his Ethereal Transformation had been shattered.
"Hnn..."
Raon exhaled with difficulty, observing Uriel and Derus's expressions of surprise.
'It worked.'
As Wrath had predicted, Wrath's Authority pierced the Archangel's Ethereal Transformation, which neither aura nor magic could penetrate, and hit Derus and Uriel in their chests. However, the protective light of the Ethereal Transformation didn't completely erase. They seemed to be maintaining their concentration despite the situation.
-You hit them good!
Wrath shook his fist with satisfaction as he watched Uriel's contorted eyes.
-Hit them more! Shatter that ugly face!
He urged to keep hitting them more, pushing more anger, saying that it would be difficult to kill them anyway.
'Wait a moment...'
Raon leaned forward, shaking his head. Having maintained the Sword Domain for so long and suddenly exploding with all his energy and anger, his head was spinning as if he could collapse at any moment. He needed even a brief moment to catch his breath.
"Raon. What the hell..."
Glenn let out a sigh, looking at Raon with disbelief.
"Why did the Light Wind Division Leader's sword work...?"
King Lecross swallowed, seemingly unable to believe what he had just witnessed.
"Don't you understand yet? Raon is the kind of person who defies all theories!"
Chamber uttered words uncharacteristic of a mage, implying that this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.
"I-I'm scared..."
Larian's eyes trembled, seeming even more confused by Raon.
"Raon, can you do more?"
Ogram asked, raising his bloodied fist.
"You're the only one who can hit those bastards right now!"
"I can, but even if I give it my all, I can't kill those two."
Raon shook his head, biting his lip. Both Uriel and Derus possessed martial prowess on a completely different level than his, so even if he could pierce their Ethereal Transformation, killing them was impossible.
"Raon!"
Derus looked at Raon, showing his blood-soaked teeth.
"What the hell are you? What's behind you?"
He yelled as he forcefully pulled out the divine sword embedded in his back. Bright red blood gushed from the long, penetrating wound. The demonic sword that had been piercing Uriel's abdomen was also withdrawn and fell to the ground. However, belied his title of Archangel, the wound on his abdomen didn't heal, continuing to bleed golden blood.
"Human."
Uriel looked at Raon, tilting his sharp chin to the right.
"Who are you?"
It felt as if a deep flame was burning in his blue eyes. It felt as unsettling as when he faced Wrath's anger.
"Why does a human possess that dirty authority?"
Uriel revealed a chilling gaze, as if he was going to kill Raon if he didn't speak immediately. Fortunately, it seemed that he only felt the anger, not realizing that Wrath had taken residence in Raon's body.
"The dirty ones are you, bastards."
Raon scoffed, enduring Uriel's aura that seemed to press on his entire body.
"What is an ugly bastard, worse than any human or demon I've seen, chattering?"
"As expected, you don't know your place."
A strong murderous intent accumulated in Uriel's cold eyes.
"That power of emotion is not something someone like you can handle..."
"Shut up, dove."
Raon dismissed Uriel with a wave of his hand. Uriel's jaw dropped, seemingly unable to imagine a human calling him a dove and telling him to shut up.
-That bastard is properly surprised!
Wrath chuckled, clutching his stomach.
-His eyes are as wide as a rabbit's for being cursed by a human he was ignoring!
He wagged his tail, seemingly delighted with Uriel's confusion.
"What about Lephon? What happened to Lephon Robert?"
Raon gritted his teeth and looked at Derus.
"To think you're still thinking about that..."
Derus let out a hollow laugh as he got up.
"You've matured a lot since the last time I saw you."
He turned his head, forcibly bringing his flesh together to close the wound.
"Let me explain it simply. Lephon is a shell."
Derus continued with a smile.
"A... shell?"
"As you know, the important thing in a fruit is the flesh inside. As long as it holds out until the inside is ripe, who cares what happens to the shell?"
He drew a round shape like an apple with the blood accumulated in his palm.
"Lephon's existence is like that shell. That child certainly existed, but the moment his usefulness as a shell ended..."
As Derus clenched his fist, the blood-formed apple burst without leaving a single piece.
"It disappears. Leaving nothing behind."
He smiled as he wiped his hands, as if that was all. Meanwhile, Uriel frowned, seemingly more surprised by being called a dove than by Wrath's anger.
"Why did you compare me to a simple dove?"
As Uriel was about to extend his hand as he dispelled his Ethereal Transformation, a black shadow fell in front of Raon.
"Do you wish to die?"
It was Glenn. He unleashed a swarm of Soul Swords on the blade of his Heavenly Tremor, as if he didn't care about the consequences. A mysterious aura repelled Uriel's sacred light, spreading outward.
"Things are getting difficult."
Uriel bit his lip thinly, as if he was disgusted with the situation.
"Let's end it here for today. After all, even you won't be able to stop that day."
"Don't you feel anything? After raising that child as your son?"
"Feel? What?"
Derus tilted his head, as if he truly didn't understand.
"That's fortunate. Truly fortunate."
Raon let out a chilling smile like a hungry beast.
"Because I won't feel any guilt when I destroy you and everything you have built."
He clenched his molars, swearing once again to cut down everything of Derus's.
"Human."
Uriel stood in front of Derus, lowering his blood-soaked gaze.
"Why did you compare me to a dove?"
He looked at Glenn and Raon simultaneously before lowering his hand. With a snap of Uriel's fingers, their bodies and Derus's began to fade away again.
'Now!'
The moment Uriel's gaze erased, Raon drew out his Thousand Slaughter Dagger. He launched the dagger, sharper than its name of "slaying the sky" suggested, imbued with anger and Ten Thousand Flames Cultivation. The Thousand Slaughter Dagger, imbued with the flow of the Impeccable Hidden Blade Art, lunged towards Uriel and Derus's hearts.
"I was expecting this."
Having been hit by divine and demonic swords, Uriel didn't underestimate Raon's attack this time. He raised his divine power to deflect the Thousand Slaughter Dagger. The dagger, despite its lightning-fast movement, was easily deflected and plunged into the ground. However, Uriel and Derus weren't Raon's true targets from the beginning.
'I can't catch Derus and Uriel anyway.'
While Uriel focused on defense, Raon took a step with his Supreme Harmony Steps and moved to the right. He struck Varian, the young leader of the Sword Division whose Ethereal Transformation light had thinned, with a fist imbued with anger and Savage Wave Arts.
As soon as Varian was sent flying by the blow to his right cheek, his Ethereal Transformation dissolved, and all the swordsmen of the Young Sword Division fell to the ground.
Raon didn't stop there. He approached the fallen Varian and struck his chest with the palm of his hand. This wasn't directed at Varian himself, but to knock out the Worm of Wrath that might be in his heart.
"Magic Tower Master!"
As soon as he subdued Varian, he called out to the Magic Tower Master. Without saying a word, Larian immediately used her thread magic to capture all the swordsmen of the Young Sword Division.
"Hit their chests! There must be Worms of Wrath in them!"
"Leave it to me!"
Chamber nodded and extended her hand. The chests of the Young Sword Division swordsmen violently throbbed as if they were about to burst. It seemed that she had struck the inside of their hearts with mana.
'This should be enough.'
While it was unfortunate to have lost Kubara, Varian was also one of Derus's trusted men. They could find out a lot by interrogating him.
"What a pity."
Raon got up, stepping on Varian's head.
"I was aiming at you all along."
He twisted his lips into a wry smile, hiding his true thoughts.
"You..."
The veins on Uriel's forehead bulged, seemingly disgusted by being outsmarted by a human, regardless of the capture of the Young Sword Division.
"You are as arrogant and insolent as he is."
It was obvious who he was referring to. It must be the Demon King of Wrath dancing in the sky right now.
"Raon Zieghart!"
For the first time, Derus uttered his full name.
"I will kill you myself. I will plunge everything around you into misery!"
His eyes turned red as if the anger he had barely suppressed was resurfacing.
"No."
Raon bravely stood face to face with Derus.
"I will be the one to kill you. I will cut down everything you are trying to achieve with this madness."
He clenched his fist, showing an even greater anger than Derus.
"All of you will die without accomplishing a single thing."
Raon raised his chin, making a soul-bound oath filled with anger.
"Your mouth has gotten stronger."
Derus gnashed his teeth and frowned with bloodshot eyes. A dry murderous intent emanated from him, as if he were going to pounce immediately if not for Glenn and the Six Kings.
"Human. Try it if you can."
Uriel, as befitting an Archangel, regained his composure and slowly raised his eyelids.
"It will be impossible with that worm's authority."
He shook his head, dismissing not only Raon but also Wrath.
-W-worm? That scum again!
Wrath yelled, leaping forward.
-Kill him! We must kill him no matter what!
He shook his head, insisting that they shouldn't let him go. As a sacred light enveloped Uriel, Derus, and Kubara, about to make all three disappear, Raon moved his lips again.
"Hey, dove. Next time we meet, I'll pluck all your feathers."
Raon curled his lips, saying that he would turn Uriel into a plucked chicken.
"C-chicken? Why are you calling me poultry..."
Uriel's eyes flashed again. However, before he could finish his last words, he disappeared in a golden light.
-That bastard seems to have a fit every time he hears the word dove
Wrath chuckled, looking towards where Uriel had disappeared.
-I knew it! Your 'taunting arts' work even on angels!
He nodded, saying that was why he also wanted to take Raon to the Devildom. Raon didn't laugh. He walked across the ruined ground and picked up his blood-soaked biography. Seeing the first chapter, where he had promised to sign, torn and soaked in blood, his heart ached as if needles were piercing it.
'We only spoke twice.'
The brief moment at the first Six Kings Conference where he shyly said he was a fan, and the brief conversation this time explaining about the King Slayer. Considering his usual personality, it was strange to be so angry at someone he had only met twice.
But Lephon's life was like mine in my past life. No, he lived an even more miserable life. Because everything about him was a lie.
Having experienced a similar life, he wanted to avenge Lephon. And it had to be a merciless revenge. Raon tucked the still-bleeding Raon Zieghart biography into his chest and looked back.
"Head of House. It's not over yet."
"Indeed."
Glenn nodded with an indescribable look in his eyes and turned around.
"As you all saw, Derus Robert was the swordsman wearing the blue dragon helmet and the leader of the Shadow assassin group."
His clear, noble voice roused the still-confused martial artists.
"Ah..."
"Ah, my head still can't process this."
"We saw it with our own eyes! How can we not believe this!"
"To think that Derus Robert was a traitor to the Six Kings and summoned an Archangel..."
"We have no choice but to believe it now."
The martial artists bit their lips, seemingly angry at having been deceived by Derus. A sense of betrayal began to burn in their trembling eyes.
"From now on, we attack Robert. Everyone, follow me."
With Glenn's signal, Chamber and Larian stepped forward. As the two raised a magic circle, a dimensional gate as large as a city gate opened.
"It leads directly to House Robert."
Chamber struck her chest confidently.
"Mmhm. I prepared it beforehand..."
Larian lowered her head slightly and touched the dimensional gate with her fingertips.
"I'll stay here."
Ogram sat in front of the dimensional gate.
"I need to keep an eye on those bastards."
He nodded, indicating that he would keep Varian and the swordsmen of the Young Sword Division detained.
"We'll be back soon."
Glenn nodded confidently and stood in front of the dimensional gate.
"Let's go. To Robert."
He grabbed Raon's shoulder and was the first to enter the dimensional gate. The Six Kings and the neutral faction martial artists followed Glenn's broad back through the gate. Raon clenched his fist until it bled, watching the rippling blue dimension of House Robert.
'I said I would destroy everything you have built.'
This is where it begins. In Raon's red eyes, House Robert appeared as if it were consumed by flames.
